Der Anschnitt, Beiheft
Since 1980, the supplementary issues have appeared at irregular intervals, originally as a supplement to the mining history journal "Der Anschnitt" - in the meantime the publikation has developed into an independent series of publications. It is dedicated to mining archaeology, mining history and archaeometry and present, in German or English, the results of various research projects or contributions from conferences of the Deutsches Bergbau-Museum Bochum, sometimes with the participation of the Ruhr University Bochum and other partners.
Initially, the Association of Friends of Art and Culture in Mining (Vereinigung der Freunde von Kunst und Kultur im Bergbau e.V.) and the Deutsches Bergbau-Museum Bochum were responsible for publishing, but since 2017 the Anschnitt Beihefte have been printed and distributed by Verlag Marie Leidorf (VML) under the editorship of the Deutsches Bergbau-Museum Bochum. The remaining publishing services as well as the coordination of the respective work processes are the responsibility of the Deutsches Bergbau-Museum Bochum, Research Department.
The "Der Anschnitt, Beiheft" will be published electronically under the CC-BY licence by the University Library of the Ruhr University Bochum 12 months after publication of the print version and is available to users free of charge. All volumes are given a DOI number (Digital Object Identifier) with which they can be clearly identified and linked.
In addition to the current issues, older issues of the series are also published. This is done depending on the rights check and the current processing status of the website. Access to the publications may therefore be restricted for legal reasons or due to the processing status. If you are interested in an older issue that is not yet accessible, please contact the editorial management.
